In 2004, Robert Rapley started Gridrite and began designing and manufacturing cattle grids in Maryborough, Queensland. As a family company we’re not just about profit, we’re equally concerned about building a reputation for quality and a great business that we can proudly pass on as our legacy. That’s part of the reason why we try harder, we keep innovating and we deliver the standard of service that we do.
In that spirit, we put our heads together to create our new vehicular decontamination solution, the WashGrid. By using high-pressure water jets to clean the undercarriage, the wheel wells and the hard-to-reach places of vehicles as they enter or exit work sites, it effectively removes contaminants like dirt, weeds and seeds or harmful materials like asbestos. While it started as a biosecurity solution, the Wash Grid is now used in several industries ranging from agriculture to mining.
To ensure the integrity of our grids, all of our products are made of steel manufactured to AS 1554.1 and hot dip galvanised to AS 4680. That gives them the extra durability they need to withstand even the toughest of Australian weather extremes. For main roads, we specially engineer grids in compliance with the AS 5100 Bridge Code (Main Roads and Queensland Transport Department standard) while our Government and Commercial grids are all Quality Assured ISO 9001. If we’ve built it, we can proudly stand by it or drive over it.
Aside from our wide range of standard products, and new innovations like the Wash Grid, we also work with clients to custom design and build grids to their specifications. Feel free to contact us and we’ll work together to build you the right grid for your needs!
